Default Roo fixed gear

I'll post some pictures in the next day or two. Basically, the gear is from an Ultra Sport 40. The mains are the fixed gear from the Ultra Sport kit sandwiched between two 1/4 ply plates (routed to accept the wire). This is then screwed to the LG plates on the Roo where you would normally install the retracts. The nose gear is an Ultra Sport Hobbico retract unit locked in the down position with an old strut I had laying around. You could do this in any number of ways. For my weekend beater, there is nothing to go wrong, it is light, and very cheap. We built this plane to show how inexpensive and reliable a jet can be. This combination would be an excellent trainer. I fly of a hard surface runway. You may want to consider thicker struts if you fly off rough grass.
