I think the most people on here just want a beginner to succeed. There is nothing more rewarding than landing your rc plane for the first time. I really hate for someone new into rc planes try it wreck and not get into it at all because of a mishap.
At the club if someone drives up and asked about flying or how to get into it and all I am always more than willing to help out. Help build and get them in the air. It is always a lot of fun getting a new member to join a club. I am sure any club you go to most people are very helpful with any questions or anything like that.
I guess in the end it becomes the weekend hobby to have fun, tell stories and a really good excuse to get away from the wife.....kidding..
I think I spend more time talking and cutting up with the other members than I do flying at times. There is always a funny "my plane did this" story out there.
