Default cant hover piaget 3d with a rimfire 300

Maybe i used to much glue building this foamie (first one ive built) or the battery is too heavy (e-flight 2s 800mah) bis thing will absoutly will not hover, not even close. I dont have a scale to weigh it so not sure of the weight although it feels pretty light. any help? I still have the smaller stock motor that came with it but havent tried it yet. my set up I am using is a rimfire 300 - electrifly 12a bec - e flight 2s 800 mah lipo and a 8 x 3.8 prop Should this be enough motor to hover this plane?

Default RE: cant hover piaget 3d with a rimfire 300

From the motor spec it looks like your prop is too small for 2S. If you either go to a 8x4.5 or 10x4.5 prop, OR move up to 3S and use your current prop, you should see a lot more power/thrust.

Hope this helps...Chris
