Hey all,
Looking for a hinge taping tutorial. I have a small EPP plane, and can't quite grasp the taping process... Is there a youtube out there or a post on RCU?
Thanks!

Not too hard. Taoe on the opposite side from the bevel, if there is one. People use packing tape, or 3M Extreme tape for combat wings or other cases requiring extreme duty. If there is room, tape on both sides of hinge, ensuring that the fit is not too tight to allow the range of movement you want. You can also use Blenderm (very good stuff) as hinge tape, or to seal the hinge gap on larger planes to avoid flutter.
Hope this helps...Chris

Thanks for the input Chris. Are you talking one large piece of tape from one end to the other of the aileron, or several short pieces?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Well I found a video online just in case anyone was also looking for one. I will be giving this technique a shot here soon to test it out.
