Default RE: PA Addiction X??

The last part of assembly was the cowl and prop. I just installed it as per instructions and all is good. I installed the ESC on the left side of the motor box with the heat sink forward. It fit just fine this way and clears the cowl.

I've got about 5 batteries through through the plane now and have it all trimmed out. All I can say is WOW. The flight characteristics in both normal and slow flight are great. It lands so slow it only has about a 3 feet rollout. There is almost no knife edge coupling on this plane. I don't have any mix in and I don't think I'll add any. This plane is very easy to hover. Its not tippy like other 3D models. The rollers are easy as well. I'm running tripple rates. Low is 45% Aileron, 35% Elevator, and 75% rudder. Mid rate is 50, 50, 100. And High is 90, 90, 100. I'm using 20% expo on low and mid. 45% Expo on High. I'm still in the process of learning the plane, so I'll post more soon.

Steve,
This is a great looking project. How are you doing? Are you just flying the small stuff now? I'm thinking about maybe doing a little flying this fall but not sure where I'd go. My local club has kinda abandoned me. Noise is really bothersome to them and the seem to be moving to mostly electric. With this...you'd fit right in. Me....I've got nothing electric.
Anyways, good to see you are still doing something.

Thanks Barry,
We need to get you up in the air again!! We do have limited access to the Sod Farm. We have not gone there is some time, so we are due to make a visit. Let me know if you can make it up and we will schedule a day there. Sorry to hear about your field. I know I was grounded there once due to engine noise. Its getting harder to find a place to fly anymore.

I did get a couple more flights on the Addiction today. I'm realy liking the things it will do with ease. Makes me what to take more risk than I should with it, but so far so good. The only drawback, if you can call it that, is that its so light it is susceptible to the wind. But Its fun in a headwind as well.

Steve,
I think I'm giving this hobby up. At least for now.
Got several planes that really need to go. I've talked to Richard and was wanting to know if you are interested?
EF 110 and EF 88. Think about keeping the EF Edge, but maybe not. Also, UCD60, Ultra Stik Lite, Tango, maybe that's about it. Oh yeah, 100CC Wild Hare Edge, pretty good airplane.
How about Clark? Any others?

I have several flights on the plane now and realy enjoying banging the sticks around on this one. It also harriers very well, but the tailwheel takes a beeting on harrier landings. So far, this is the only thing I've had to fix. I surounded the tailwheel wood with 1/64" plywood all epoxied in. Now its tough.
