Default RE: Free 3D Foamy Plans

ChuckAuger recommended the Himax 2015-4100 to me. Just got mine together, but couldn't be happier. 3S 1200 E-tec Lipo's, a GWS C gearbox with an 11x4.7 or D gears with a 12x6 (12x6 & D is slightly better). Both put out 26+ oz thrust (2:1 thrust ratio on the 30" UB) and typical flying time is 25+ minutes on a battery. A new shipment of these motor just came in to the states, but at ~$50 they're gonna go fast! If you order one, save yourself some hassle and get the GWS gearbox adapter plate - it fits great and has the right screws with it. Got mine at www.Lightflightrc.com - good prices and service. Also heard good things about www.b-p-p.com

Default RE: 30" UB servos

Go to E-Bay and do a search for 9 gram servo - Paid $8.50 a piece (clear yellow cases). Extra gears are cheap to. A buddy's been flying them all summer in his UB without a problem.

Default RE:

Tim would the gws 15 amp speed control work if I was using the 8 or 9 cell sanyo AAA 720MA pack? Also will have an EPS-350C with D gearing and a 12X6 prop. Thanks
