Default Kokam vs E-Tech

I currently have a couple of E-Tech 3s1P 1200 maH packs for my 3DX. Last night I accidently burned up one last night by shorting it out (the leads to the battery got crushed in my radio transmitter case by mistake and it shorted out the pos and neg leads and destroyed itself.

I am looking to replace the battery and am considering the Kokam 1500 maH HD 3s1p pack. How does this pack compare? Is it just as good or better?

kokams are heavier but it can handle more current. so its up to what you need for the motor.

The new E techs can handle 8.5C they are about 5 bucks cheaper, lighter. But of course the 1500's might give you a bit more flight time

I've flown my 3DX with both E-tec and 1500 Kokam, flys about the same even though the Kokam 1500 is about an 1 oz heavier, about an extra 5 minutes on the 1500's.

http://www.allerc.com

Radical RC and All e RC are a couple of the many sites that carry the E Tec batteries.
