Default Trick 800 light - how do you like it ?

Hello guys.
im thinking about a Trick 800 Light with an AXI 2212 \ Jeti controller - anyway i wanted to know what you guys think of this model, especially compared to the shockflyer, for 3D flying ?
thanks !

Hi

I would not call the Trick a 3D plane. it is too heavy for thet. the little AXI does´t have the power. it´s an aerobatic plane with good power useing ~200-300watts or so

it does torque roll, but much harder then the shocky (which hovers it self)

for an experienced pilot the tick is a funny challange to get your hands on, but it will take time to learn 3D on this kind of plane.

the axi has plenty of power for that plane. if it is around the weigt it is advertised then the axi would pull the nose off that thing. the axi has around 35oz of thrust with a 12x6 ( i measured mine using a set of kitchen scales and a special rig).

35oz from an AXI 22/12 ?? I would say that is impossible. you must be reffering to a larger AXI such as 2808. 2212 is speced 10A for 60sec maximum. I have been useing this motor on Etecs and I find it strugeling over 11" and 11A

AXI 22/12 does only 3D a sub 12-13oz plane. preferably 10oz...

no its a 2212/34. its true!!!!!! if you are saying this only because you have seen it on moto calc your wrong. because moto calc cannot work with the out runners because they don't run with a gearbox. beleive me. i wasn't expecting much atfirst so i built a little plane but it was uncontrolable with the power (hovered at 1/5 throttle). i figured this out using a proper rig.

I´ve been looking abound and found simular thrust numbers, so I beilive you but it is way above the spec for this motor. you must be putting in close to 20A at 3s li-po. that is self should be no problem in a plane small enough, just keep an eye on the motor temps.

I have a trick 800 and would not recommend the a/c. I am using axi with 3 cell lipol to get the cg you have to put the batt behind the engine their is no room for this so you have to cut the fuse which weakens the structure causing failure notified N/E of the problem of cg and they said they knew about it funny they dont say any thing when you buy it!
