Default Remove before flight?

I am building one of these fan fold electric shockfliers and this is my first electric 3D plane. I figured that I needed something to fly during the week when I cant drag my 35% out.
Am I supposed to be removing the plastic backing on this fan fold stuff or not?? I would think so b/c it would allow for a better bond, but you guys tell me if I am wrong.

Do not remove! You would have a little better bond but you will lose strength and rigidity from doing so.

Yeah I did remove it from my horizontal body piece and noticed that it lost a lot of strength. Lucky for me I can just trace another one out.

Thanks for the info.
