Default which HiMaxx motor

i made a 3dfoamy.com extra and i am wondering which motor to put in it. the AUW will probally be around 14-16oz. i will be using a Kokam 1500mah 3 cell battery. i was thinking of using a 2015-4100 or a 2025-4200, which one is better? thanks

Definetly a 2015-4100. If u got to a 2025-4200, u'll pull a lot more amps (around 16) what i heard...so ull need a more expensive battery, which weghs more.

If you spend a few bucks more a Razor 350 is more efficient than the himaxx motors.

I have the razor 400 with a 6.6:1 and Thunder Power 1320 3S1P pack WOW!! The guy at allerc said the setup was safe but I sure wish I knew how many amps and what max thrust is??

Al of my buddies have the himaxx 4100 6.6:1 and it pull the foamies great by the way. They have 3S1P 1200mah lipo

Its not worth it IMHO, $89 versus $46. Or u can get a E-Flite 4100 for $48 with a pinion and adaptor plate. OR u can get a Himax with an offset gearbox, with 3 pinions and 3 spur gears.

I have the Himax <and> the Razor - the Razor pulls WAY harder at fewer amps than the Himax, and its WAY more durable for those unplanned nose first landings... Just my observation, but its worth the extra money.
