Default Shocky weight concerns

I just purchased an Axi 2208/34 and a Phoenix 25 amp ESC for my Shocky. Will the extra 10 grams that the 25 amp ESC weighs versus the 10 amp be noticeable? Also, does anyone know the weight of a GWS 4 channel micro RX? I have a Hitec Electron 6, but I'll want to use the lightest of the two. Thanks in advance.

Do not worry! You'll be fine. Mine also flies with a very heavy speed control at the moment and it flies fine. Still handles like a foamy.

That's good to hear. I didn't want to limit the size of motor I could run based on the ESC. This way I'll have lots of room to grow. Besides, if this is all I ever run, the ESC should last forever. Thanks.

I'm going to probably do the same thing, still deciding. But yes well at least my AXI did show up at the guy I ordered it from so now i'll be able to find out what these things are all about. The std power set is starting to get a wee bit annoying. I got a choice now between an 8A and a 12A. Don't know. The dude said the 8A will be perfect but I just think the 12A might at least open one more door from the shocky.

What I have learnt is that keeping the weight down is a key...

2 Cell Vs. 3 Cell

CC-10 Vs. CC-25

Hitec-55 Vs. Cirrus 4.2

They all matter...

Yes, flexibility is also an important concern, but I would recommend to keep it as light as possible.

I got my Cirrus 4.4g servos from Aeromicro:

Not cheap, but they were in stock, and came very fast.
