i am both new to foamys and electrics
do you have any tips for a setups ect.

i have a cheapy motor on it
im getting a himax
are they good
what kind of charger do i need for lipo

Himax motors are good. I have a 2015/4100 on my 3DX. 12-6 gws slowfly prop. Etec 3s 1200 lipo.
I have a Trtion charger and an AstroFlight 109. Use them both with lipos.
If all you are charging is lipos the 109 is the one. If you charge nicads and/or nimihs too then you might want the Triton.
The 109 has more features for lipos, it can charge larger packs than the Triton.
They both cost about the same.
