Default Foam Safe C/A alternative?

My insanefoamies edge just arrived. Looks great.
In the instruction video he is using alot of foam safe CA with Kicker.

I priced this stuff out and it is quite expensive. What alternatives are there? Something a little cheaper?

Low temp hot glue gun works. WalMart has them, Big Lots sometimes, real cheap.
I've built whole foamies with it.
Elmer's white glue works but takes so long to cure.

I just used epoxy (sparingly )on my e-flight ultimate. It said to use foam safe CA but the store I bought it form didint sell it (as far as I know) and its like you said, the stuff is so expensive in the first place.

If you use epoxy use it sparingly (as with hot glue and other weight adding glues). Use just enough, dont just glob it all around hoping itll make your plane invincable.

Ive read you can use this "gorrilla glue" on foamies as well, Home Depot is suposed to sell it.

OH. I have poly glue. I will use that. It's easier to spread than epoxy.

OK. Last "dumb" question. How do you guys decorate your ultrafoam? I bought some crayola markers but they just wipe right off.

On my blue fanfold foam I use Permapaque markers. They look like paint, not shiny though.
A lot of guys use Sharpies.

Let me just say I have built alot of these and you can get a small bottle of the foam safe for around $5-6 dollars. That will do a plane and it is so much cleaner, faster and easier that I will never do it any other way. I have never used a glue gun but have done all the rest. CA hands down. Have fun!!!

I tried Elmer's Probond polyurethan glue first and same thing, what a mess.
Guess I used to much not realizing it would expand so much.

I was using crayola markers on my depron yesterday. All you have to do is give it a *light* rub with a piece of sandpaper first. Works good then.

Seriously and not intending to be a SA here but... You guys fly RC and complain about a $9 bottle of GLUE??? Maybe it's time for a new endeavor.

Yes, It is not a cheap hobby. That is why alot of people look for cheaper way of doing things sometimes. I'm sure crash has the money for the ca being that he just bought a $300 kit, he is just looking to save a little. I know just what hes talking about. But in this case the CA is worth the money.

Thanks for the comment but I don't really give a rat's appendage what you think. My comment was sincere. You should think about it.

EDIT ADD for new content ONLY:

Have you ever thought about the fact that there might actually be a REASON manufacturers recommend what they recommend?

Like I said, my comment was not intended to sound like a smart***** and as is typically the case on these forums, if you could have seen and heard me say it, you would have taken what I said better I believe.

As for my commenting in threads; feel free to add me to your ignore list. You just became my first one after literally 10's of thousands of posts on forums like this.

Wilsonflyer. Didn't mean to jump on you.
If you would have "seen and heard" my original thread you would have realized that I wasnt "complaining" I was simply asking for alternatives to foam safe CA. I jumped on you because your thread had nothing to do with answering my question.

I understand this is an expensive hobby, believe me, I have litterally 10s of thousands invested. That's no reason not to try to save a dollar here or there. I priced foam safe on Tower and they want 18.00 for a 2oz bottle plus 7.00 to ship. Can anybody say "bend over"?
