Hey I hovered my Micro Flyer in my room for 3 seconds today!!!!!! I just let it go straight up and it set and hovered for 3 seconds. It would be cool if they made a 3D plane that small though.

Um, there isnt a kit that I know of, but I have a 9" wingspan scratch-built extra 300, that you could hover in your bedroom theoretically....haven't flown it yet, because I am still saving up for the micro joule kit. Total weight of the whole plane with battery and servos is 3.56oz...Its been sitting on my shelf, just waiting for the avionics.
Setup so far will include the following;
Cirrus Micro Joule Kit - $129 bucks - 10grams
extra Micro Joule Servo(for ailerons) - $50 bucks - 3 grams
7.4v 2cell 340mah LiPo - $24 bucks - 30 grams
Depron Foam - about 36 grams
GWS RXC Light Power System (GW/LPS-RXC-C) - $14 bucks - 22 grams
Total weight - 3.56 oz
with 4.8 oz of thrust .
The only problem with this, is its going to be swinging a 10.4 prop which is longer than the wing....which means its going to torque roll like ...well you know.
Im hoping that by some odd chance someone will come out with a micro brushess motor that turns a 4" prop producing 4.5 oz of thrust, and weighs about 1oz......HAHAHAHAHA
If anyone knows of such a motor, please let me know....

I'm gearing up to build a micro 3D also, heres the plan, just waiting on parts BTW
JMP rcvr with 3 Falcon servo's. 8grams
BSD micro brushless with ESC, 11 grams,, 60+ grams thrust
170 lipo 2p1s 8 grams
airframe??????? something foam and CF with 65 squares of area
AUW will be around 40 grams,, 1.3 oz.
It will work because I have seen it, I just need to make one for myself

Id also like to know more about those servos and Rx. 8 grams is extremely light. The Micro Joule kit weighs in at about 10grams(including two servos, Rx, and ESC). I cant imagine anything lighter...with the exception of micro coil actuators.

Here you go [link=http://www.bsdmicrorc.com/]BSD Micro[/link] The BL motors are not in yet, but there is a waiting list and when that is shipped they will offer it on there site. Very good people to work with for the micro stuff.
