My Dad recently got the Su 29 from Fancy Foam and he is having problems with wing drop at stall. He has a fairly standard 4 channel transmitter that is a non computer FM radio. It has dual rates, but there is no mixing with flaperon/elevator. Could this have something to do with the wing drop? I know how planform affects stall progression, with a tapered wing tending to stall tips first, and a constant chord wing tending to stall root first. Is there a technique to get past the wing drop phase and completely stall the wing rapidly in order to avoid the snap rolling tendencies? Maybe he just doesn't have enough control throw and he needs to increase it in order to get past that phase of flight.
Any suggestions?
