Default e flite yak problem

Was anyones mounting plate for the motor already glued in? My mounting plate is, and so I can't put the motor on. I tryed going in through the bottom but the ply brace is too narrow to for the gear box to go through.

Mine was glued. I got my AXI 2208 in from the bottom. Wasn't the easiest installation, but I got it in. What motor are you using?

Hi, mine was a tight fit but you can put your fingers in the side holes and gently pry them apart while a friend can work it through. Awesome plane I love mine. Good luck..
