hi you know how you have dual aileron servos (2 aileron servos, not one) how do you set it up with the radio stuff, where do you plug, i have a 6chnl reciever anda 4 chnnl radio, the reciever jr r610m or something and the radio is a jr quattro.

Could someone please explain this to me?

Typically 4 channel transmitters don't have multi channel mixing, therefore not being able to perform what you're trying to do. You will need to buy an Elevon mixer control unit. Usually runs around $15USD. You are to plug both servos into this gizmo and it will alternately operate both servos using only one control. And yes you are required to have a six channel receiver. Plug both servos into the mixer. Then plug one of the connectors from the mixer into channel 6 of the receiver, and the other one into whichever channel you're using for your ailerons. (Usually channel 2 or 1)

Yes, a Y adapter is what you want, assuming the mechanical installation is appropriate (typically servos in each wing half in mirror position, or each pushrod connected to servo arm on opposite side from other servo - meaning that when both servos rotate the same direction, ailerons will move opposite each other). Otherwise, you'll need a reversing Y adapter (which reverses the signal on one of the two connectors). An elevon mixer won't work if your transmitter is only 4 channels. Even if the receiver has more, it won't get any signal from the transmitter for the other channels.

An Elevon Mixer will work fine with a four channel transmitter. And yes the Y adapter as well will work. I used an Elevon/Flapperon Mixer on my Goldberg Extreme 330 using a Futaba Skyport 4 channel transmitter. The channel six slot is just to supply additional power for the mixer to operate both servos. And then the Elevon Mixer receives transmission from the aileron control (channel 2 most likely) and supplies that same signal to the other servo in reversed direction. We recommend this device to lots of new members at our flying field who bought a 4 channel transmitters and a plane requiring 2 servos for ailerons.
