You should make the SFG so you can remove them if you don't want to fly with it. Probably with some kind of clip.

One of my buddies, billaltman, put some on his shocky extra 300, and cantilevered the ailerons. The plane flys nice. Does real good knife-edge.

Bdav, what do you mean with "cantilevered the ailerons"? Sorry, I don't know what cantilever means...

i think he means they are counterbalenced, like your elevators and rudder. they have that part that sticks forward of the acctualy surface on the tips...The Animal (the one that won the e-toc) has counterbalenced ailerons
