Hi all,
I am building a 3dfoamy Edge 540 from the plans downloaded from their website [link=http://www.3dfoamy.com]www.3dfoamy.com[/link] (since kits aren't being sold at the moment). Does anyone know the size of robart hinges they use for their kits? I sent an email to Robart sales and they said based on the wing dimensions that I should use the 3/16 size. They also said that the hinge points should be mounted in blasa or dowel inserts. If anyone could provide the hinge size and mounting instructions for the Robart hinges I'd appreciate it.

I believe they're the 1/2A size. I'll check the package when I get home tonight. You don't need balsa or hardwood inserts. Just drill a hole in the foam and use hinge glue or carpenter/wood glue.

I have Robart 305 (qty 6) and 306 (qty 15) 1/2 A hinge points for the older design. I think the new laminated kits use a larger size.

Thanks for the heads up Wazmo. I ordered a SU-26 "Pro" Kit from [link=http://www.rcairworks.com/]www.rcairworks.com[/link] yesterday. I'll see what they have in the kit. I've built some CF landing gear for these planes but dont have a scale to weigh them. Any idea where I could get something? This is my first build so still on a bit of a learning curve. Thanks in advance for your help.
