do you have a prop on the motor? (it gets confused without one)
if so, what size??

what battery?
Fully charged?

ohh yeah and about that prop, whenever i take the prop off of the shaft the motor runs fine. it is a 12x6 on a 6.6:1 but i got a prop and kept cutting it down until it was about a 2 inch diameter and it still didnt work. but if you spin the prop really fast and jump on the throttle it works fine. do i need soft start? my batteries were fully charged.

thanks for the replies
Rob

I had what appeared to be a similar problem, I had a new reciever and JR 8103 Tx, I didn't switch it from pcm to ppm or fm, thats all that was wrong.

Try a soft start on the ESC.

i think i know whats wrong. i talked to a guy at the LHS and he said that it is sometimes the reciever. i thought about it and i remembered whenever i would move the ailerons the elevator and rudder would glitch. i have another reciever so i will try it. thanks for your responses.
