I haven't used mine all that much, but for the most part I like it. I did, however, have problems using it from a cig lighter adapter in the car. I've had no problems using it from my bench top power supply. I don't know what kind of amperage I can pull through the cig lighter in my car and am wondering if the Polycharge pulls too much...

i'm about to buy that changer but want to hear some coments about it too, before buying it, i read the manual and found that it needs a powersupply that delivers at least 16 Amps in order to use its full potencial. i don't think that you can pull out that amount of current of the lighter outlet of the car, well i assume that if you are charging 4 Lipo batts of 1000mA each at the same time there will be no problem using it.

I'm not sure about the cig lighter, but I have a 20Amp Tripp-Lite power supply that I use for my Triton that should work just fine. I just want to be able to charge 4 batteries in 1.5 hours instead of 1. That way I can wake up in the morning and charge my batteries and go fly. And when I'm at the field, I won't have to wait for one battery to finish before I can begin charging the next. It sounds like a nice charger, but I wanted to get other peoples opinions.

i just got mine, so far it's been doing a good job, i've used it to charge to diferent brand and capacity battery packs with no problems, i'm a little impresed how fast it charge the batts it only takes 1 hour and 20 mins to charge a fully discharged pack that's quick compared to my old home made charger that take 2 hours. there is one LED on each output that indicates the status of the charging process it also indicates how many cells the battery that is plugged has, there is also a sound indicator, it lets you know when the charging begins and when it is done.

supposedly the polycharge 4 cuts the packs off early, and doesnt fully top them off, It just cuts by voltage. While you will only lose 5% runtime or less, i'm sure it will keep your batteries working for a few more cycles than fully peaking every single time, and probably helps to prevent overcharging a cell in an out-of-balance multiple cell lipo pack...
