Default Best Electric 3D Bi for outdoors?

I've been flying a three channel modified elec Piper cub Jr. with great success and would like to get a Bi 3D plane that will be use 100% outdoors. Also want something that will fly slow if I want it too...I have almost an acre with about a 120 foot by 200 foot flying area in the back yard...would like it to be able to handle a little wind.

Like the looks of the Hobby Lobby Quasar?

Also want to keep it lite...recommedations on flight pack?

I also have Real Flight G3....I can see I will need to practice...best plane to practice with? I also have a Hitec Flash 4 FM 72mhz TX...is this going to work ok with this plane?

I would say the Yak 54 is the best 3D plane to practice with on G3 for me. And if you want the Quasar here is everything you need:

The Quasar has very light wing loading. I would think that if you've got any wind, it'll be very tough to fly. I'd try something a little heavier like an Ultrafly bipe or even a balsa plane if you want something bigger.

...Or Hobby-Lobby has

Christen Eagle
Uzi XL & Uzu XXL

There's also the Zoom-Bi

All of these are EPP, making them resilient and heavier, which would make outdoors flying better.

Check out Northest Sailplanes Products at www.nesail.com they have several EPP planes. I just ordered an EPP ultimate biplane from them. They have several planes and one of them should work for you.

$39.95 Kokam 910mah 3 cell lipo

What I have on hand

Castle Creations Pixie-20p...Brand new in package but for brush motors...could use this below...

Prop size and prop saver/adaper...do I need this with a direct drive motor?

Also looking at this.... comes with brushed 370 bb motor Great Planes Yak 55 3D FlightFlex EP ARF This would take the wind better!

Sounds like you are not going with a bipe. If you are still interested in a bipe. I like my Fancy Foamy ultimate. AUW of 16oz, with a himax brushless outrunner and a 1320 battery it has all the performance you need. Slows down to a crawl and moves straight vertical with unlimited knifeedge. Also one of the best hovering planes I have.
