Have got one on the way , might be a little heavy for my first foamy , got a GWS 300 with the 12 by 6 prop and 6.6 to 1 gears and 20 A speedy
What should I charge at 1.5 A ? and how long will it last with mild 3D

RE: PolyQuest 1800XP Battery
It all depends on throttle management.
I know on my small outdoor version of the mini 3DX, I can get anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes of 3D flying with my thunderpower 1320 and an outrunner that is pulling 10.5 amps at full power with a 8x4.3 prop.

Yes Im pulling 11 A
Got battery yesterday.
Im excited
First Foamy, electric
Been flying a long time and these ships look like a good workout for the thumbs
I think that they are in the true spirit of what a model aircraft should be , more than any other type, cheap, fun and extremly capable

RE: PolyQuest 1800XP Battery
Not quite sure how to step into the group but im Just getting into Lipos and have found good consistant results from my U Can Do Flex fly with a Polyquest 3s 11.1 1500HG its light and my Mountain Models Magpie
Same Battery 2s 7.6 just didn't do it 3s 1500's run them both quite nicely with good cool run times
now that I have the drill down pat and my power source and Triton set on fine peaking and my POLYQUEST 12.6 cell balancer properly feeding the batteries to consistant results it seems I cant get any more of this type battery there are heavier and higher Rated versions with higher discharge rates
Does anyone know where to get the Polyquest 3s 11.1 PQ 1500HG and why we need heavier higher discharge rate versions ?
If there is a need for heavy high discharge rate batteries we have nicads already why reinvent the wheel
I would like to hear of a source for the 1500s and to understand if it ain't broke why we need to discontinue it???

Falcon I dont know what C the HG is but you can buy the XP poyquest at 16C at Aircraft World Japan
Nicads are out of the question in 12 oz aircraft, that manouver tightly
Too heavy , so are NMH
Lithium only just cuts it
The higher C just allows the occasional jab to full throttle safely
And must also convert into longer run times
Nicads are a big polluting battery
They will be discontinued , from what ive heard
I hope this helps
Im new to this too , but its the only way to fly a model plane
