Hey,
I want to get into Foamies, done some research here and still a few questions, and hope I can get them all answered.
I am looking at something like an e-flite or a great planes foamy one, that are the size for a 370 motor.
I want to upgrade the motor to a brushless or outrunner. which motor, battery, prop and speed controler would be good for a number of different models for 3d?
Also, how is the great planes triton charger? I want a charger that can charge these batteries, and also the ones for my gas planes. nimih.
thanks

I wouldn't bother with most of the e-flites and GP's. Take a look at www.rcxplanes.com The Allure is a great 3D plane and the equipment that they recommend will work with most foamies in the 7-9 oz range. If you want something a bit larger try the Illusion. The recommended equipment for that plane will fly most anything in the 12-16 oz range and maybe a bit bigger.
The guys there are very knowledgable and are willing to help in any way they can.
The also have a money back guarantee. Tough to go wrong.

well i cant really vouch for the yak that e-flite has but ive seen really good commets about it. or you can go with the typhoon. also if you wasnt you can build your own which will get you more familiar with how all the parts work and get you a better builder. you can probably build maybe about 4 planes with 10 sheets of depron.

I'd take a look at http://www.3dxhobbies.com/cart/index...roducts_id=177 much stiffer and lighter than any plane in it's class.
