Default Flatana Motor Choice Help

Hi Guys

Right now i have the stock motor on my Flatana, but I was surfing the internet for brushless motors, and i stumbled upon the Balsa Products website, I found the BP 12, BP 12Y, and BP 21. Will anyone of these (preferrably the BP 12Y, cheapest) work for the Flatana. They have a deal right now, if you buy the motor and speed control, it only is about 45 bucks for both! Good deal if you ask me. I was just wondering if any of them will work for the Flatana and if anyone has used them on this or a similar plane.

Also, should i ditch the landing gear on it? They are kind of flimsy and seem not too well built.

I have an E-Flight 400 outrunner in mine and it's just right for that plane.

That motor will do the job and it WILL outlast the plane-I used a axi 2208/34 and 3s lipo-on half power mine would do everything(I only fly outdoors)-full power was only used for verticals and insane punch out-don't get me wrong, the flatana's nice but its designed for flying,1 not so good landing and its bye bye!!-ditch the landing gear and use a prop saver...
wot 4.
