Your Edge looks great! You also fly it like it's on rails. Your video of it flying by the boat reminds me of that video where the boys at Shutupandfly flew a CG Ex-Treme 330 behind a moving truck. Great video! I like the red Edge. I might have to replace my E-Flite Ultimate 3D with it.

Thank you very much for the nice words the plane does fly amazing I have yet to find a better flying plane in this size range. You will love it and how well it really does fly.

Hey Mike how often are you on a sim? I'm curious...and how close does the G3 AirfoilZ Yak fly compared to the real thing (the one you can download at Knife Edge forums)

I practice four hours a day on the sim five days a week. I fly the old version of G3 not the 3.5 version IMHO the flight characteristics are not as good as the old version.

On the old version the 3d yak flys pretty good.. I did the flight characteristics on it and got it pretty close.. The real one flys better but its as close as i was able to do it

Hey guys, if you want to virtually fly with mikey and who knows who else happens to show up start a multi player session and talk about it on the thread linked to below and it's bound to happen... I haven't practiced in quite a while and could sure use some time in the sim, i'll definitely join in if i see some action in there...

I don't have G3, so I wouldn't know. I have G2 with all the add-ons. I don't have a plane that will harrier, flatspin, or tumble. [] So I have to make one. I don't have a clue what I'm doing, but I can't seem to make one.

Should I take the Airfoilz Edge 540 40" Hacker Combo or the Airfoilz Edge 540 40" Torque Combo ?
I think it's alot of money[]
Maybe u can tell me where I can get it cheaper or save some money.

that yak is flat plate 6mm depron wing with flat cf spars for reinforcement, the whole fuse is made of 4 pieces of flat 3mm depron made into a square shape.

I owned one, not a bad flyer. EXTREMELY fragile and not very good in the slightest breeze it starts to show real weakness.

Get the airfoilz instead it totally obliterates the ef yak in every category.

WOW, I know what ill be saving my pennies for. This plane is awesome, it looke to be the best built 3dfomie
out there well worth the price. Could I get some info on how its constucted, looks to be very rigid an light
like a plane like this shud be. Also as im n00b could you explain how to turn the rates down or up for that matter.
I just slap servos in and thought I was done, but if I was able to turn rates down I think that I could use this as a trainer.

More info on airfoilz forums, airfoilz.com click on support and join the forums. Also read the various reviews some are very detailed and show the inner construction of the plane very well.

Have you flown anything else?

To set low rates you usually do it with a computer radio that limits the throws of control surfaces and can be turned on or off at any time in the flight with the flick of a switch.

If you only have a basic radio with no rates to set the low rates move the control surface links closer in on the servo arm, by experimenting with different hole locations you can usually get the throws you are after. So set em up low to start, and when you get more comfortable gradually increase them. Drawback is it's much more work changing rates mechanically than in the computer radio...

No, that's pretty funny that you'd actualy think that. he says that because for an electric plane it feels as stable and predictable as a much larger gas plane, that's all. So if you fly glow and are not used to small twitchy electric planes this one won't cause you any problems because it behaves like the real thing.
