Default Small fun electric for wind?

I have been looking through the posts for a few days now. I am new to electrics, but have been flying .40 glow for years and also gas models.

I loved flying the funtana or somethin extra in windy days, hovering and floating, then some nice 3d as well.

Is there a small electric out there that would be kinda the same? I know that it will be more unstable and touchy then the larger ones. Planes I have looked at include the mini funtana, edge and brio from e-flite. the mini kantana and mini extra from fliton.

I would prefer a built up plane over a foamy because of looks, and also durability. I just hear the foamies break too easily from all the posts. What about a good setup that someone really likes?

Thanks
Geoff

I have the Katana Mini and it kicks butt. Can do anything, and besides just doing it, it will excel at it. However, you'll also get people recommending the Extreme Flight Extra. It's a close call between those two. There's also a BME Mini Yak to consider, and the whole Stevens Aero line if you don't mind building.

Airfoilz line of planes are just great. I know that they are made of foam, but these are as strong as any built up planes. The yak as thought me to hover properly in just a few flights of flying. Also about durabilty, I was taking off once with my yak and my radio was still on edge 540. So when I pulled up elevator the plane went down full throttle. The only damage on it was the wires on the battery broke a little bit of foam. These fly so great too. I personnaly think they are the best out right now. You gotta check them out!!

Good luck with your decision!

Thanks Leblanc. I didn't know that great hobbies carries these airplanes, I now see them.

I am really looking for something I can buy in canada and make it easer then having to buy it from the states.

What kind of setup are you using?

The advertised setup. Hacker A20-20L, 10x4.7 prop, hs-55 (I now use 65's), TP1320 3C lipo, X-20 esc. Just flies awsome. Well actually just came back out of my backyard, flew twice and it was great. Some hovering, rolling circles... lots of fun. I don't need to go far to fly... which is so sweet!!

Been reading up a lot on that plane and that looks like the setup most people are using. It seems like the hacker a20-20L is a hard engine to get right now, especially in cdn. Is there a another good engine that can replace that one, a good e-flite one?

An axi motor. They are available at great hobbies. I would suggest the 2212\26.
