electric HOTS flies
Remember the HOTS from the 80s?
The originator's son is working on the design now. He was at a flyin today with his latest version. He was reluctant to call it a 3D version, because the original one in the 80s did all that stuff before anybody called it "3D".
Here's a picture of the electric one. It's takeoff "roll" was either one inch or two. And it glided like an OlyII. ok... ok..... it glided good. With that low aspect ratio wing, the glide could be ruined with any elevator movement more than VERY GENTLE AND SLOW, but it didn't want to come down. He also turned it 360 in the glide on the landing when he came in too high for the landing.... deadstick....
Amazing airplane
