Katana Mini Landing Gear
Does anybody make a one piece landing gear for the Katana Mini? The two piece gear is junk and keeps tearing the bottom of the fuselage out.

Try the Graphtech carbon gear. A little more expensive but worth it. Good quality= worth paying for. Won't bend like the aluminum ones. You do need to strenghten up your LG area. These are stiff enough to transfer rough landings to your LG mount. I've used these on my Hyperion 3Delight with great success (with reinforcements of course-I know, more weight![:@])after trying the alum. gear. You have to sacrifice some weight to keep those gear from ripping out -or just take em off! The ground sure will. Good luck and keep em' flyin'!

RE: Katana Mini Landing Gear
Hey,
I have never had any problems with my mini katana undercarriage. I have never landed on grass for that reason alone - i think it would rip out. I think the wheels are too small for grass.
Cheers

RE: Katana Mini Landing Gear
I've only landed my KM on concrete once, at an airshow in front of thousands of people. Grass works fine for me. I did rip the undercarraige out once, but that was when I was doing a low harrier and the wind conpletely switched directions on me, so it hit nosedown and destroyed it. Got a new one and it's been fine.
