IKARUS POWER SETUP..
Hi, I was wondering if I could get some ideas on the best light weight power system for a ikarus yak?? I dont have much experience in the small planes, mainly larger electrics, but I was thinking maybe hacker A20-34S, or e-flight power 370 outrunner on 2-cells, am I on the right track?? I would like it to come out at around 7oz..any help would be great!!

You can go even lighter. AXI 2204/54, 300-450mah 2S lipos, few 4-6G servos (Dymond 47s are great!), 10A ESC, and a micro receiver and you can get it down to 5 oz. or so.

RE: IKARUS POWER SETUP..
I agree with Ryguy, My set up may be a tad lighter.
Ikarus super star,axi 2204/54, apc8x3.8, 4amp jeti sc,
4 ch. gws rec., 3 polks hobby Xmicro servos, and 2 cell
TP 480ma. lipo. around 5 1/4 ozs. with landing gear.
performance is incredible well over 10 mins. 3D flying.
