How big is your yard? I have an E-flite Tribute, Ultimate, Tensor 4D, and QQ Yak-54. They fly great! www.e-fliterc.com

Magic Extra,
If you decide to build, I recommend the FX2 from www.3dbatix.com . I have one and it is my favorite foamy, its not a very hard plane to fly, but it can do everything you want it to.

I 2nd the [link]http://www.3dfoamy.com[/link] planes. For outdoor flying look at the Pro series or even better the Super series. They are very rigid, light weight and have a superior wing design to flat foamies.
Customer service doesn't get any better either. John watches these forums so he can help you and even has his own sub-forum here. His planes are also designed and Made in the USA. Compared to 3D Foamy planes EFlite foamies are junk.

If you want a wood plane instead, I recommend the PA Electric Shock
