No info on the GeeBee, but I really like my Skeeter 30 balsa 3D park flyer. 14oz AUW with landing gear.

I have several ARF Balsa built up models none of which I find exciting enough to recomend. Stay away from the no name Ebay specials. They aren't what you are looking for either. I bought several so far from different vendors. If you haven't flown a sub 6 oz 3d Foamie then try that and if you find a balsa model that flys as well then please let me know what it is I want one too.

Airfoilz would take my vote. I don't have one of there plane, but have read alot of threads and no bad rep sooooo I would say that their good, and don't worry they are balsa..... on the inside...

I would ditto the Airfoilz planes, as I have the Yak and love it. I also have a Cermark Sammy (no longer in production) and it is great but a differant type of flying all together. I would recommend the Airfoilz, yes they have foam but balsa reinforced.

I got an Eflite Edge 540 BP. It's a nice ARF 3D plane. It flies really well. There's a thread in this forum about it. Fun plane.

The 3dhobbyshop.com planes are supposed to be phenomenal. They have a pretty good video demo on their site as well. I would backup the vote for an Airfoilz, if you're not dead set on balsa.

Just my $.02

I'd like to know about that plane from www.flying-kit.com. I ripped off the landing gear from my plane and am looking for a cheap purchasable one. I built the one in the picture from a foam plane template. Yes, it did have an motor when I flew it. I can repair my plane but one day I'll need another one. The Flying Kit plane is from Hong Kong and I was wondering if it will actually make it here in one piece.

The E-flight Cap 262BP is a worth considering. With the recommended 450 motor and ESC, four Futaba 3114 servoes and a 900 mil Inpulse three cell pack, mine weighs 15.3 ounces. It flys slow flight as good a most foamies, but because of it relatively thick airfoil it flys fast flight or windy flight like a real airplane, with none of the jumpiness of a foamy. It assembled in almost exactly the four hours stated on the box. It is a joy to hover, hovering almost as well as my Reflecton Foamy. Makes air catchs real easy. I've banged it into the ground several times from a hover on windy days and so far it has sustained no real damage. It does great walls, elevators, waterfalls, and harriers, fair blenders and has very little coupling in knife edge flight. I highly recommend it for a light weight balsa 3D plane.
