Today was very gusty, 15-25 mph crosswinds, with sudden calm pockets, thunderstorms nearby..
It wasnt going to ground the little Extra 260 though, she takes the wind well, but it was difficult to do anything precice for the camera this afternoon,so I look like a hacker
Here is a 6 minute clip of surfing the crosswinds.
E Flite 480 910KV,35 amp Phoenix,EVO 2150,HS55 and S75 on rudder.
Will make another vid on a calmer afternoon

and a recent clip, without so much wind

No ,never bothered to check. This power system has been in use for over 18 months on other airfames without ever troubling me.I used the E prop for one flight and was not impressed. It maybe better for faster pattern style.
I also mix my throttle inputs in order not to strain components. Its rare I go flat out for more than 5 seconds.

I dont have a watt meter yet but even with a slow flyer apc prop should using a eflite 40 amp ESC with a TH extreme 2070 I am sure the system is plenty to support the 260..

Batteries are warm to the touch, motor and ESC stay cool. I doubt a 40 amp is necessary unless you want to hover the entire flight.

the 40 amp is more than enough but I wouldnt say its overkill using a 480 in my minipulse.I discovered while I dont hover I do like fast and wide open ..

I let a club member handlaunch mu pulse and well lets say it became a two piece kit.I wasnt thinking when I decided to do that.he trew it straight down and with a 480 it went quickly to terra ferma.usually I do it my self and it goes up fast and does a couple of wuick snaps. oh well a new 260 and a new fuse and I will be a happy man...
