Hello everyone, is there a way to make a reliable and very flexible hinge using house hold items? I have heard of using the disc material of a floppy disc but I still need to get an old one from my dad to test it out.

any ideas are helpful.

Well, the easiest way is probably to use some good packing or strapping tape. If use use 1" wide tape or so that works pretty well. You just shove the center of the tape into the joint of the control surface (i.e. aileron or elevator) and adhere into well onto both sides. Tape both top and bottom of each joint. Makes a great hinge.
