Default flatout hinges

I just started putting together a Great Planes flatout Extra and I keep breaking the hinges while I'm "snapping" them onto the carbon tube. Any sugestions?

If the kit is old it could be one of the bad baches that were produces a while back. I received new hadrware from the Mfgr and still had the problem though. I ended up using tape also.

Just trim a little the tip off the clip hinges in a V shape before installing them.
