Anyone have experience with this controller in their larger 3D planes? Seems like the best value for a 12s controller.

Tick ... yes they are one of the best. Just be warned that the cheap ESCs are so so only, I used some. They are great for low requirement aircraft, but if you are pushing it hard then do not stinge. I got 2 before and 1 had major timing issues, manufacutrer replaced with something else and the other rated for 12S 100A showed me some fireworks when ran on 10S and 60A!
