Well, I finally got my Typhoon 2 3D in the air today. I've been away from the hobby for about 5 years and wanted a RTF 3d plane that wouldn't break the bank to help me get back into flying on the cheap. I've read on these forums many good things, and many bad things about this plane. I can honestly say I have nothing but GOOD things to say about it. I experienced none of the common issues I have heard others complaining about with this (and other Parkzone) plane. No servo problems, no binding control surfaces, no rx/tx glitches, no flaming ESC, no charger problems..nada. Took me all of 20 minutes to assemble (took longer to charge the battery) went together straight and strong. Some of the hardware seemed a little suspect (cheap), but it all seems to work well. I will admit I really didn't "wring it out" on my first few flights just flew the circuit at a local park near my home. The first flight was really a non event, after a range check to make sure the tx/rx were working well I pointed it into the wind, added some throttle and up she went. Few clicks of elevator trim and she was flying straight and level. Flew mostly at about half throttle a few times around the field and brought it in for a smooth uneventful landing on the short grass. Checked it over well to make sure it was all holding together like it should, this is my first foam airplane so the tape holding the horizontal stab on kinda freaked me out a little when I was assembling the plane. But it seems to be holding the tail together just fine. Checked over the linkages, re-adjusted the elevator back to neutral trim and lined it up for another flight. Over the next 2 flights I just kinda flew it around on low rates, tried some loops, rolls and touch and goes without any problems or issues. What a nice flying little airplane. The included motor/gearbox/prop combo has plenty of power for this plane and although I know the included tx and rx aren't the cutting edge of technology, they work great. I'll get a few more flights in on this plane and re-post when I have a little more stick time with it.
