EF 74" Yak54 setup
Decided to go electric and would like some ideas for this aircraft (motor, esc, batteries). Airplane is the 74" Yak54 from extreme flight. 74" wingspan, weighs about 12.5 lbs.

Check the big thread, a couple of boys over in Europe did it. Also Bobby Smith in Daytona Beach was working on an 88" the last time I talked to him, http://www.rremodels.com give him a buzz he knows a LOT about ESC's, batteries and the like.
I think that would be NUTZ with that kind of power to weight.
Coming up to Jax for FX3D?

Looks as if EF is suggesting: Airboss 90A ESC, Torque 5018/250, 10S

JY ... question is, how much power doo you want? If for full 3D then 10S if not you can get away with 8S. For me, might as well go with 10S. Again, you on a budget or do you want to splurge?
Budget
ESC - DualSky, Turnigy 90A HV
Motor - DualSky 6360, Hyperion 5025 (this is not cheap stuff but its just cheaper than the premium brands, this is a good motor, I would say take this)
Batt - Zippy Rhino 20C 5S 4,900 mAh in series (only USD86 each and does not bloat)
Money is no issue
ESC - CC 85/110HV, Jeti
Motor - Hacker A60, Plettenberg Xtra30, AXI 5330
Batt - Flight Power EON 5S 5,000 mAh packs in series
All the above set up will allow you to fly a 15 lbs 80" plane later on, not to say with hard 3D flying but you can fly a nice 50cc plane for scale aerobatics.
