Hi All, I expect this is the 1000th time you have been asked this, but a search of the forums did not answer my questions.
I'm after an electric motor for my .40 glow plane, but was wondering if there was one out there that would also be good in a .90 size 3d plane when I get one.
I was thinking of the Hyperion ZS4025-16 on 6s for the .40 plane and then using 8s in a .90 plane.
Or should I just by separate motors?
Thanks
Rich

40 and 90 sized planes are kinda far apart ... I would say get 2 motors, one for each. They are getting cheap nowadays if you shop at Hobby City. I suspect the 4025-16 on 6S will be best turning a 16x12 prop, which 40 sized plane will have clearance for a 16"? Also the 4025-16 may not gonna be running happily on a 90 sized plane with 8S cause you need to drop the prop a bit as the cell count goes up. Check using something like MotorCalc to get an idea, that would be best.

I think you have confirmed what I was thinking, I may go for the 4025-12 with a 5 cell set up for .40 size and then look at a bigger motor for a .90.
