This is what you need to mount the AXI
Many thanks! Do you think EF will have some of those, because I dont think I can get ahold of one so easily. More importantly I wonder if the UK distributor can get them.

Im thinking AXi 2212/34 for this? Stupid amount of power?

I feel like going for AXi to do away with gearbox complications.

Couldnt wait!

Took it out in the dark and the wind to see how it flies.
Plenty of power! Very maneuverable. Need the wind to calm down to wring it out some more.

Wayne, Chris and you must get special versions of his planes as mine never seem to fly quite as well as yours do!! All kidding aside, unbelievable flying. You never cease to impress. Hope mine gets here this week. Looks like another winner from Extreme Flight. Craig

Jon is still in Cinci but will be moving east near the end of the year. He is going to be based in Washington DC but maybe living in PA for a while.
You guys can fly together again. Your lucky. I learned a ton from him since I have met him.

Hello, I was wondering if my AXI 2208/34 on a 3 cell lithium would be enough power for the yak?

thanks

wgeffon 11-01-2004 06:58 PM

RE: ExtremeflightRC Yak55SP-E...Sweet!

Chris,

I would think it would be.
On 3 cells that motor is awesome.

Shortman 11-01-2004 09:11 PM

RE: ExtremeflightRC Yak55SP-E...Sweet!

I dunno how much thrust my Axi 2208/34 made, but with 2 cells on the shockflyer it flew good, of course the shocky is 1/2 the weight. The combo for $200 with the brushless motor they provide looks like a ton of power.

RC330LXFlya 11-01-2004 10:14 PM

RE: ExtremeflightRC Yak55SP-E...Sweet!

Yeah it looks good but i cant afford 200 right now. Darn flying lessons:D! I think I could pull off the 3-cell battery though.

thanks

RE: ExtremeflightRC Yak55SP-E...Sweet!

oh yeah, what prop would you use on the 2208/34 on 3 cells, I am running 2 cells now on my shocky with a 10x4.7

thanks
