i made a foam spacer and compression fit them in (extend the foam tward the wing )... but if you dont care about a gram here and a gram there then just velcro them in

alright, you are going to need to buy the radial mount for your motor, you can get it from hobby lobby. then, glue the plastic x shaped thing that comes with the shockflyer kit with some foam CA. now you are going to need a small piece of 1/8 inch light plywood cut into a diamond just big enought to fully cover the plastic "motor mount". then epoxy this wood "firewall" to the plastic motor mount and screw your radial mount for your axi to the wood.
kinda hard to explain, but i hope you get the point, it takes some immaginatoin...ill give ya a quike sketch to show ya what im talkin about...

**edit** ....or you could just do what the link he gave you says to do....^^^^

Here is a link to a carbon mount for your shockflyer. Not cheap but worth the extra dough IMHO....

THANK you zagaflyer, i will definatly do that. Should I cut back into the fusalage? Hard to explain, if you look at the pictures on hobby lobby of my edge 540 shock flyers, you can see the engine is back into the foam, I think it has to do with balance, thanks though sooooooo much for the help

Scott. You might try clicking on the link that Wayne posted and print out the instructions. This is what I followed when mounting mine and it worked great. The only thing I did different was I ordered the mount from mjp carbon instead of cutting it out of plywood.

Hi!
Here is how did it on mine...batteri is a E-tech 450mAh 3cell Lipo.

The smallest AXI 2204/54 is definitely the engine to use on the Shocky and a 8x4,3 GWS or 8x3,8 APC. Do not mount it up front...then the model will be too front heavy! Larger AXI:s you will have to mount even further back!
