I would realy like to get into 3D flying on a budget. I have narrowed t down to the seduction wildstyl and Hype 3D. at the moment I'm leaning towards the wildstyle because I've onlly got a 50sx ring and its cheaper but could someone tell me if i'm making the right coice?
thanks.

The Wildstyle would probably come out alot lighter than the Hype, so it would be better matched to the 50sx power level.
In my opinion, you really need an excess of power when learning to 3D. Instant power on tap can get you out of alot of trouble.
I have the Seduction Freestyle, which I am just starting to build, It is a very nice kit. Probably going YS .63 with it.
I got mine sent from Singa hobby, where are you planning to get the Wildstyle from?

I agree with archie here.
Both the hype and the Wildstlye can only do funfly 3d . The Capiche can do both 3d and pattern, so you are effectively bying a two in one plane for roughly the same price that will fit your bugdet nicely.

Archie, don't miss an opportunity to to sell one do you !!!LOL
I would have thought that as ChrisJB is on a budget, shipping a Capiche to Oz will dent his pocket far more than the wildstyle or hype. (I assume someone is selling the hype in Oz?).
I would go for the wildstyle. Lighter in weight, and the wing is not quite as thick. You could also consider the Freestyle?

I'm no 3D master, but have had a bunch of profiles, scale aerobatic planes, some pattern planes, Seduction Freestyle...... You get the idea. I posted this in the fun fly section.
http://www.rcuniverse.com/showthread...744&forumid=21
It is a thread on my new Wildstyle. The plane is really good at 3D and will do stuff that a profile has trouble doing. And it is slow and stable, even inverted (elevators and harriers). The plane is unlimited with a Saito 56 due to the light weight. An OS 50 would be balistic. Watch out for flutter though. The plane is an easy build, the hardest part was covering the fuse!!

Actually if you want a pattern-3d plane there is no better than the seduction freestyle.
Comparing a Pilot kit to a Capiche 50 is like comparing a 72 beetle to a lexus.
NO WAY!!!!

Archie,
Now on second thought i think i'll try the Capice 50. Your sales skills are very high and you have convinced me.
I HAVE ALWAYS WONDERED WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF A PLANES' WING RIPPED OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF ITS DEBUT SHOW!!!!!!!
oops how dumb of me, IT HAPPENED TWICE!!!!!!
Yes people it is true, the Crap 50 is defective.

Sounds more like you need a Morris Hobbies Sledge 540...
It will do 3D better than ANY .40 size airplane that I know of. Rock solid harriers upright and inverted. High alpha Knife Edge, great rolling harriers, high alpha circles are all great. Almost hovers hands off. It is completely nuetral, mine actually climbs just a tad when I roll inverted. It will do great KE spins and great flat spins...Elevators are easy, and especially fast with flaperons.
After the Sledge, I'd for the Seduction Wildstyle. I owned a Freestyle for about 6 months and LOVED it. Best kit I've ever had along with the best flying airplane I've ever flown! Just more pattern than 3D. The Wildstyle should be great...

Shadowspring, I was at the show watching when one of the Capiche's lost its wing. It did put me off at the time.
However, Archie has taken time to explain why that happened and how to prevent it (which is more than you get from many manufactures). It boiled down to modeller error, which explains over 90% of all crashes, ie they weren't built right (built in a hurry for said show).
If CPLR and Ali (UK Freestyle champion 2002) can throw a properly built one arround without breaking it, then so can I which is why I'll be buying one. I have not heard of any others lose a wing.

21st Century flying revolution we've all been waiting for?
Shame on you :spinnyeye

Chill Brits!!!
On my last post I was just messin with Archie.
The Capich 50 is actually probably a decent plane, maybe even a great plane. Only time will tell. What is the finished weight of the Capiche 50? I might even consider building one if you gave me a good deal on one Archie.
That being said, I am not messin around when i say that comparing a Capiche to a Seduction is like comparing a 72 beetle to a Lexus.
There is no comparison. Name one plane that you can assemble perfectly sqaure without using a single drop of glue and carry it around the house to boot. Name one plane that owners consistantly say that it is the best building best flying kit they have ever flown.
I can name two, Seduction Freestyle & Seduction Wildstyle.
The Capiche might be a great plane, but the seduction series are the absolute best planes.
If you disagree then just read through the posts the owners have left for us. There's only about a couple hundred individuals that agree with me.
Enjoy your Capiche's.
BTY I like the 72 beetle.
