Default hangar9 cap232

Dear fellow modellers
I have just purchased 3d cap232 from hangar 9 (73") I've been a scratch builder for many
years and this is my first ARF. I think it's a great plane, however I can't believe just how
many imperfections this kit has. My main problem is the cowling vs undercarriage. I realise
I have to cut the bottom out but the cowling simply refuses to go far enough leaving
about an inch gap between itself and the wing . It looks like there's something missing.
Has anybody encountered same problem? Actualy I would like to read some
review on this kit. Also my question is what servos should I use for 3D manevours?
I'm going to use OS 1.60FX as a power plant . What would be an ideal prop for this?
Many thanks Vilo

I have an OS 1.60 in my Sig extra. I have had best results (for IMAC) so far with a Pro-Zinger 18x6 (after break in). I think it gives the best scale speed and pull for my dollar. I saw a H9 cap with OS 1.60 at an IMAC meet and he was running a Mezjlik 16x10, but it looked like it was flying too fast for me. I have also heard of someone using a Mezjlik 20x6...?

thanks for the tip , I'm also going to use 18x6 prop Master Airscrew Classic. Probably
not the best prop on the market but it will do for now. I agree with the speed . It will
certainly look more scale. Vilo

Sir, as to your OS 160, I am runing a Bolly 19x6 at over 9,100 rpm on the ground. It pull great, with good down lag braking. I do get some tip noise at full speed , but it sound good. As for your Cap 232 arf, it all depends what you are looking for. I went with a BME 50cc gas, TME smoke system, custem 80 inch 540 style fome wing. Two JR digital servos in the tail for the elv. and a 200 oz for the pull-pull rudder. (Hitec 805) With much mixing on the radio system ( Futaba 9c), the plane fligh great at hi and low speed and hovers at around 1/2 throttle.Fast responce for some of the 3-d movements , but the new wing help.
