I would wait untill after the world championships. see what CPLR and Chip Hyde think of em. If they use em well. get on. if theyre crap, buy a normal pattern plane.

confused by the answer, maybe i get the question wrong...
i would answer...
a Biplane is more draggy than a Pattern so don't stretch the glide.
but it's also a hell of a lot less ugly than those things
depending on what one you get, could be a lot more aerobatic

Not all bipes are created equal. There are Bipes like chip hydes and there are bipes that fly real slow and there are bipes that dont really fly they just kinda act like a rock with a motor.

Why is it that almost all pattern planes have such nasty trim schemes. Or for that matter, most ARF's. It can't be that hard to come up with a decent scheme for those things, I do it all the time.

I don't mind the plane so much (love bipes, all of them) but it looks like someone ate a rainbow and puked on the blasted thing. Just nasty.

I've flown a friends and it's not much different except the controls felt a lot more positive and crisp. at high speed there is definately not much difference at low speeds they can realy slow down though.

Not all pattern planes have puke colour schemes. the majestic (original CPLR version) is lurvley. The name suxsess is crappy and cheesey. At least 'Synergy' is a good name.

the suxess name brings "it suxs" to mind!
I know its a biplane, but i just dont like the length to wingspan ratio of it. It looks out of proportion to me.

To each their own I guess..
Chip is flying the Double Vision
Christophe (I THINK) will be flying a Synergy
Silvestri is flying his biplane called Look@Me
Naruke designed a biplane but isn't on the Japanese team.
I like the bipes myself. If Christophe had signed off on the airplane as being ready, I'd be flying a Suxess next year (still might be if he gets it finished after the WC)
