The only kit they have in stock right now is the Hybrid. OMP has stated that they are not in the kit business any more.

I do not believe that OMP are out of the kit business altogether but kits will be made to order in the future.

How do you know that from SA?

I heard Mike from OMP say that with his own mouth. He could always change his mind and get back in but for now, they are out.

Yep, and here is a quote from Mike (Salmon on PB) from the PB site on Jan10

ORIGINAL: Salmon
Get the Hybrid while you can guys as this may be my last kit run of these. Balsa costs have gone up so much as well as everything else including my time that it is hard to justify producing kits anymore without pushing costs up significantly.
Another from Jun10

ORIGINAL: Salmon
Sorry but producing kits is hard to do anymore due to costs of balsa and other supplies. Plus I have far less time on hand than I used to. Balsa costs have gone up 40% since last year. Unless you want to pay $100+ for a 40 size kit I don't see myself producing these in kit form. Doing my best to even keep ARF costs down but even China costs have gone up and keep going up. Don't be surprised if all the manufacturers start raising prices again this year.

You are da man Thumbskull, let there be no doubt!!

Last time I talked to Mike that's true, kits are getting to expensive (Balsa is up). He does do a small run every once in while when he gets a lot of request like now, he has the 50cc Hybrid in a kit form. I bought one just a 2 weeks ago, and I was #8 on the list and he only made 20. He is gearing his business to more giant scale gassers, and profiles in ARF form. You never know when he will do another run on a kit, he usually post a note here, and on RCU in the forum. I have 4 of his kits and when I see him do a kit run, I buy one.
I was looking at some old OMP threads and i don't think they are done, think they are just to busy with other stuff to make kits happen right now.

pure speculation based on what i have seen though.

I want a 67" Fusion kit myself!

I built the OMP Edge 540 several yrs ago. Its still flying, and is one of my favorites. The design is somewhat dated compared to the MOJO, and other modern designs, but it is a good flyer.
