I've been offered a great deal on a Katana, the 72" version that Giant Scale Planes sells (made by China Model Production).
I've read all the threads I can find about the Katana, and can't find one the provides details on how this plane flies 3D. I would be powering it with an OS 160FX, so I guess power would be fine.
I was previously thinking of a Dave Patrick Edge 540, but it is much more expensive in Canada ($700 versus $300), plus it is a bit bigger and would probably require a bigger engine. Anyone know how the Katana would compare to the DP Edge for 3D?
Thanks for any info
Malcolm

I'm getting ready to put up a lengthy post in the ARF section on this very subject. The short answer: The GSP Katana is a phenominal 3D flyer and the OS 1.60fx is THE PERFECT engine choice. I had issues with the wing strength...some buckling occurred in flight when doing a 'wall'...I've never seen a plane near this size that would do a wall so well. I'm going to contact GSP in a few minutes and see what can be done about the wing.
