Cheers

I cant give you a measurement for my CofG as I havent measured it. I originally set it as suggested on the plan and gradually moved it back until it almost flies inverted hands off, but not quite (it needs just a hint of down on an almost empty fuel tank).

With this setup it waterfalls really well, and knife edge loops can be done with ease. However its not too far back that smooth and accurate aerobatics become impossible.

I use a bit of mixing - ailerons coupled to rudder to make the rudder pure, but dont bother mixing in elevator although it requires a bit in knife edge (but not in level flight).

For a 3D elevator I use spoilerons (ailerons go up as elevators go up) to get the model to descend quicker otherwise it takes ages as its a particularly light version.

calm down... eddy
having a set up page is a good idea.
as for me... i have now tried..
12.25x3.75.. might be good when the FF wing comes along
12x6 no good
13x4 great
13x6 too big

Weston recomended the 13x4W as the 13x4 is too small

other thing i've noticed, i can pull high G in loops, not full power or nowt, and i can flip out, i think this might be my elevator flexing as it spins towards the servo horn side and not a snap due to the wing stalling. i guess a 4mm CF rod wasn't the best joiner. might see if i can change to recomended 3MM metal, but not sure how to install after fitting

=-------------------------------
I HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH THE KILLER BEE AT FIRST PHIL, THE NON DRIVEN HALF OF THE ELEVATOR WAS GETTING BLOWBACK AND SCREWING OUT OF LOOPS ETC.
oops, sorry bout the caps.
i bent a new piece of 3mm wire and butted it up against the inside faces of the elevators and then sewed it in place externally, epoxy over the top , et voila.
if you dont understand this explanation ill draw you a picture, ya big dummy

All my posts have been removed from diff threads and I had a notice to stop advertising or I will be deleted... interesting.... it was trying to cool everyone else down but it seems that this is not a place for the capiche...or at least me anyway...

think I will retire.... the mods had a point, but the way they handled it stinks...

I expect this will be deleted now too..... they will not engage in reasonable dialogue with me..

cheerio folks...

Why not just relocate it to

http://www.rcmodelflying.co.uk/forum/

I cant see Wiz (Nigel) having a problem with the thread.

No big brothers on that site

Hey you young guns....why don't you just cool it, its becoming very boring.

Its a question of volume, I'm sure the RC Universe guys are happy for a mention of a new product thats of interest to the 3D community....but lets be fair the Capiche has been plugged beyond belief on this site.

Arch, your knowledge and help to people on this site is an asset.
Why not pay for a banner? Lets be fair....you've done well from this service. Send me the images and I'll even do it as a favour.

The Capiche and Archie who relentlessly push it here are totally out of control. I have received MEMBER complaints about this over and over. Members are not appreciating their plugs and spam. I took action and the next action will be to BAN those who want to write their own rules here. I will not allow the few to dictate the wishes of the many, period.

Read the RCU rules and abide by them or you WILL have to use all those "other" forums you push here constantly (also against the rules).

The reason RCU is so popular is because we don't allow these people like Archie who own a hobby store, sell the Capiche, have a hidden agenda to promote and make money by his postings over and over to run hog brick wild here on RCU. Members do not like it. If they did everybody would be at flightlines or the newsgroups.

Moderators are watching this forum closely and the trigger finger for those who want to "test" us constantly on how far they can go will find out. I'm very busy working on development and don't have the time to deal with the childish antics going on here by a handful of users and since my time is short my actions will be too in the event those users do not cool it off now.
