Default Help Me, futaba radio problems!

Hello everyone.

I'm trying to mix out my knife edge edge at the moment. but theres one slight problem, only on aileron moves when i mix out the roll

I'm using a Futaba FF6 and flapperons (no Y lead). Does anyone know why it does this

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ian :stupid:

Ian, if you haven't done so, try posting in the Radio's forum. You may find an answer quicker.

You cant get around this on an FF6 unless you assign another of the programmable mixes to the other aileron as well as the original one. This way you end up using 2 mixes.

After a while using my FF6 i had an unexplained 150mph crash due to radio failure, so i stopped trusting it. Now ive got a FF9 which is brilliant. Its even easier to use.

Yup, you need to use 2 mixes, similar to the FF7.

I too have an FF9, its great, but I could still use a ZAP! (couldnt everyone!)

mmmmm, id like a ff9, funds are low though. the only problem with my ff6 is i already use anouther mix for my elevator

Its semi-possible i could get a JR 3810 soon. that if my mate gets a PCM 9.

O'well, spose i'll mix out the aileron with one and counteract the picth caused by the on aileron with elevator.

Picked up my 9z on Sunday

May be able to sell you an FF8 if I can work out how to use the 9z

Doesn't the ff6 have a link function on the mixes? The ff8 does. Turn this on and one mix cascades down to affect other slaved servos.

Don't know, havent thought about it much.

I imagine it will take two or three weeks to get everything transferred to the 9z and I can think about selling it.

I was going to say I'll see about getting it to you at the Freestyle comp, but I imagine you will want it before then.

I have got thursday and friday off, so will have a go at setting things up then and see how it goes over the weekend. If I remember, I'll pm you next week.

Just to let you know, I've still got the instructions (very dog eared!) and it has a new high capacity Nimh battery from Overlander in it.

3810 is the uk version of the 8103.
No idea why they change everything around.
