I saw this plane in the latest ad from hobby people and wondered if anyone has been flying one, looks like a 3 1/2 lb stick with extremely enlarged control surfaces. just my kind of plane..

Yep,
We have been discussing it at length just do a search with Magic. Go to the Biggest thread. Bottom line it is worth the bucks, don't over power it.

I recently purchased the Magic 3D, and was pleased the moment I opened the box. The ARF quality was fantastic, not a wrinkle to be seen in the coating. The hardware package was COMPLETE. All that was needed was radio gear and an engine. The advertised 2-4 hour ready time is also very accurate. I put a Magnum 61 Four Stroke on the front; not even broken in yet and more than enough power. I'm going to try a 13x4 APC prop to help out with the hover. Some people claim they come out nose heavy, but mine balanced right on the money. As far as performance, it is a pure joy to fly. Remember that it wasn't built to fly fast though. Hovering performance is great, could use a little tailweight, but for now it gets by. I think I will be seeing more of these out at the local clubs filed after they saw and demo flew mine. Best overalll performance, especially for the buck!
