Default RE: wing load ?

Hi atvracer, I have an 80" wingspan CAP 21 that has a 30 ounce per square foot wing loading and it flies fine, but forget most 3D. It weighs 14.5 pounds and has a Super Tigre 3000 30cc motor. Haven't tried spoilerons yet but have tried flapperons which seem to do nothing [sm=angry.gif]. Now if it weighed 10 to 12 pounds.....

I have a Midwest Cap at 14.5 lbs and it flies 3D fine. Has about the same wing load as what you're asking about. If possible, get it lighter. 28 oz/sq' starts getting into the good range. I also have a Lanier Cap at 23 oz/sq' and it just hangs in the air.
